The event was held at the Heinz Regional Center with over 600 in attendance
North Hills will celebrate National Sportsmanship Day on March 2, 2010 with a breakfast of team captains and leaders.

The 19th annual National Sportsmanship Day will be celebrated on March 2rd in more than 14,000 schools throughout the United States and abroad.
It is widely recognized as the largest sportsmanship initiative in the world.
NADA Sportmanship Initiative
The Northern Athletic Directors' Association (NADA) held a summit on Sportsmanship on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at the Baierl Center/North Allegheny High School Complex
Student Athetes Julie Stumbaugh and Rachel Stewart will attend the sesson and serve as facilitators of National Sportsmansip Day at North Hills
Featured speakers were Tim O'Malley, Executive Director of the WPIAL, Jerry Bergman, NFL Official, and Kristen Carter, NCAA Sportsmanship Recipient and Cross Country Runner at Grove City College.

North Hills Named 2006 All-American Sportsmanship School
Athletic Director Dan Cardone named National Director of National Sportsmanship Day for 2009
Dan Cardone was named director of the high school division for National Sportsmanship Day, sponsored by the Institute for International Sports, based in Rhode Island. Cardone is one of five people who will lead the international initiative, which will be observed March 3 by schools and universities in all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The event is the largest sportsmanship initiative in the world.
