• History of Student Athlete Leadership Training 

• North Hills Based

• The first student athletic/activity seminar was held in August and November of 2003 . Team captains and representatives from North Hills fall sports teams as well as band and cheerleaders were present.

• Expanded Offering/Northern Area

• The expanded student athlete seminar was hosted by North Hills on August 12, 2004 and November 9th, 2004, and included four area schools. Those present were team captains and representatives from Avonworth, Hampton, Mars, and North Hills. Fifty student athletes participated.

• Regional/Western Pa

• In 2005 the Studnet Athlete Leadership Academy (SALA) was launched. There were over 250 student athletes from Western Pa. that attended. Held at Robert M orris University, North Hills student athletes have participated in leadership training each August.

Emily Jamison Selected to Attend National Student Leadership Conference

Sophomore Emily Jamison was one of 12 student athletes in the state of Pennsylvania chosen to attend the NFHS

Leadership Conference in Indianapolis in July. Emily is a tri-athlete who also excels in the classroom.
